Bottom was a British sitcom of the early 1990s written and acted by by Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson. They played Richard (Richie) and Edward Elizabeth Hitler (Eddie), who share a flat in Hammersmith, West London. The programme ran for three series, and is noted for its derivation of comic effect from intentionally crude and highly violent slapstick.
